Rebecca Sugden
Rebecca Sugden (Dancer) From as young as 4, a dance-obsessed Rebecca, studied classical, contemporary, jazz, tap and all manner of theatrical dance. In 1994, she discovered Ballroom and her “dream partner,” Damon, who shares her love and passion for dance. The Australian and International Champions enjoyed the honor of representing Australia in World Championships, reaching The International, British Open and World Cup Grand Finals. Damon and Rebecca were based in London training with top coaches when they received a life changing invitation to join BURN THE FLOOR in 1999 as a specialist Ballroom couple. They have performed in over 150 cities and have made many guest appearances on TV shows all over the world, including: Dancing with the Stars, Australia; So You Think You Can Dance, Europe; 60 Minutes, Australia; Dancing with the Stars, USA. Theatre highlights being the Royal Albert Hall in London, The Great Hall Of The People in China, Tokyo Forum in Japan, Radio City Music Hall in New York , Broadway and Le Sporting in Monte Carlo. Damon proposed to Rebecca in Monte Carlo after New Years Eve 00/01 BURN THE FLOOR performance and they married between tours of the show in 2002. They have followed their dreams with the love and support of their families, touring the world with Burn The Floor since 1999 and proud to be Original Broadway Cast in 2009.
