MiG’s first professional theatre role in Australia was that of “Ritchie Valens” in Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, and was chosen to join the London cast including a Royal Variety Performance for Queen Elizabeth II. His other theatre credits in Australia include playing “Danny Zuko” in Grease, “Dandini” in Cinderella, “Aladdin” in Aladdin, “Tony” in West Side Story, was in the NIDA production of Elegies For Angels, Punks and Raging Queens, toured with The Music Of Andrew Lloyd Webber, “Angel” in Rent, and “Joe Vegas” in Fame. MiG’s film credits include Queen Of The Damned and Subterano. MiG starred as “Joe King” in the AFI Award-winning TV series The Ferals, and has appeared in numerous TV shows such as Mission: Top Secret, Hits And Memories, The Midday Show, In Melbourne Tonight, Carols In The Domain, It's About Time, Carols By Candlelight, Vidiot, Good Morning Australia and Hey Hey It’s Saturday, as well as various commercials including a global campaign for Rayban. MiG moved to London in 2002 where he reprised his role as “Angel” in Rent, and then moved on to take over the lead role of “Galileo” in Queen's mega-hit musical We Will Rock You. It was there he auditioned for Rockstar: INXS where MiG became the only Australian finalist in a world-wide search to find the new lead singer of Aussie super–group INXS. Finishing third, MiG was signed to Decca/Universal Records, released his self-titled debut album in 2007. He now lives in New York City with his wife Simone De La Rue. MiG can be seen on PBS-TV in Handel’s Messiah Rocks (CD and DVD out through Sony Masterworks). In September 2009, he was heavily involved with relief efforts for the flood victims of Typhoon Ondoy in the Philippines with his “call to arms” campaign “United As One.” MiG is currently in production for his second CD, scheduled for release in the first half of 2010 and made his Broadway debut in January 2010 with BURN THE FLOOR. www.mig-music.com.
